Giving Back Is Who We Are
Over the years, Texas Farm Credit has cultivated an environment where giving back is woven into who we are as both individuals and as a cooperative.
It began in 2017 when Passion Forward was formed—a charitable giving initiative launched when our own Board of Directors challenged us to give back 2% of TFC’s annual net income to local charitable organizations. Since then, we have not only made it a tradition to give back; we have made it part of our culture
Passion Forward Annual Reports
Each year, Texas Farm Credit publishes a Passion Forward Annual Report on our site for stockholders, potential customers, employees, and prospective employees to view to illustrate what our cooperative truly values. You can find these reports here.

How We Put Our Passion Forward
The ways in which we give back is a list that grows year after year. Here are a few of our recent outreach initiatives.
Community Giving and Volunteering
All Texas Farm Credit branches are invited to get involved in ways that directly serve in the communities they call home. All TFC employees are given two paid workdays to volunteer for community nonprofit organizations engaged in meeting human, educational, environmental, or public safety needs. From holiday giving and blood drives to sponsoring fun 4-H events and stocking local libraries, we proudly support the ways that our employees give back.
Employer Matching
Texas Farm Credit’s Employer Matching Gift program encourages employees to donate to charitable organizations they’re passionate about and, in turn, match their donations dollar-for-dollar up to $150. We’re proud to support our employees and causes that are meaningful to them.
Shearrer Your Passion
The #ShearrerYourPassion initiative encourages all cooperative employees to share their passion and service to their communities through volunteerism. Following the lead of the late Tommy Dean Shearrer—long-time customer, past board member, and our role model for community outreach—Texas Farm Credit names the employee who carries Mr. Shearrer’s spirit of giving the Community Champion of the Year, granting $2,500 on their behalf to their charity of their choice.
