Texas Farm Credit (TFC) has partnered with Texan by Nature (TxN) to assist in growing conservation action, education, and impact, a passion both organizations share. TFC initiated the relationship with a $20,000 contribution and joined TxN’s Conservation Catalyst membership.
TxN’s mission is to advance conservation that is beneficial to people, prosperity, and natural resources by introducing companies to conservation by pairing their network with projects, resources, and volunteer opportunities to bring impact to the Texan economy, its people, and the natural world.
“Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), including Texas land conservation, is a significant focus for our association as a whole, as well as our Passion Forward efforts,” said Texas Farm Credit’s VP Branch Manager Kyle Watts. “This new partnership will allow us the opportunity to continue those efforts with proper support for regenerative agriculture.”
In 2011, Texan by Nature’s founders saw there was great conservation work taking place across the state, but a lack of partnerships and resources. With more than 94 percent of Texas land being privately owned, collaboration and strategy are critical to conservation’s success.
“While the canvas we work with is diverse and unique in Texas, the ways we engage with industry to produce win-win situations serve as an example to the rest of the world for what’s possible,” said TxN director of development Jenny Burden. “Partners such as Texas Farm Credit ensure we continue our momentum and generate results for the people, economy, and natural resources that make our home a great place to live.”
Texas Farm Credit hopes for their partnership contribution to allow TxN the ability to grow their network and project capabilities within their shared mission, while offering their staff to put their Passion Forward in sustainable agriculture.
