Texas Farm Credit recently announced the appointment of Scott Binder to serve on its Board of Directors.
“We are pleased to welcome Scott to our Board,” said Mark Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Texas Farm Credit. “Scott brings a deep understanding of the Farm Credit System, along with decades of executive leadership experience in finance, operations, compensation, and governance. His perspective will be a valuable complement to the agricultural expertise already represented on our Board.”
Binder is a seasoned senior executive and community leader with more than 35 years of broad-based business experience across consumer and business markets. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Alliance and Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President Chief Operating Officer at Farm Credit Services of America (FCSA), the largest retail association in the Farm Credit System. In these roles, Binder worked closely with boards and executive leadership on strategic alliances, collaboration opportunities, operational leadership, and organizational development.
Prior to his time at FCSA, Binder served as President and Chief Executive Officer of FCC Services, where he worked extensively with Farm Credit associations across the country, advising boards and executives on governance, compensation, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. Earlier in his career, Binder held multiple senior leadership roles during a twenty-year tenure at Comcast and Time Warner.
Binder began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen, where his work focused on banking and telecommunications clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
In addition to his professional career, Binder has been actively involved in numerous nonprofit and community organizations, serving in leadership roles with United Way, education foundations, chambers of commerce, and human services organizations.
