Over the course of the summer, we were proud to introduce our 2025 interns to the Texas Farm Credit family. They visited our vast territory, gaining first-hand experience through various departments and professions, while making an impact on American agriculture. Here is their experience and how they have grown with Texas Farm Credit during their time with us!

Avery Fohn is an incoming junior majoring in Agricultural Economics with a minor in AgriFood Sales at Texas A&M University. Originally from Harlingen, Texas, she was inspired to pursue a career in agriculture through her experiences in high school and her family’s deep-rooted involvement in ranching.
Amber Gwynn is going into her junior year as an agricultural economics major at Texas A&M University. She has grown up in row crop production, and says she is excited to learn about the financial side of the agricultural industry.

Embracing the Summer
During the first two weeks of the internship program, the interns completed a tour of our territory. In addition to visiting the offices, they met with customers and their operations ranging from Mid-Valley Ag in Weslaco to Hope Plantation Turf in Whitesboro. Our interns would like to personally thank our teams located in Robstown, Weslaco, San Antonio, Brenham, Tyler, Prosper, Bonham, and Fairfield for providing such a unique experience and providing insight to the diverse operations that Texas Farm Credit finances.
Throughout the 8-week program, our interns attended events, like the 51st Independent Cattlemen’s Association Convention and the 97th Texas FFA State Convention. Throughout these events, our interns welcomed and engaged with attendees from across the country! In addition to working behind the scenes, the interns partnered with team members on specialized projects. “Texas Farm Credit has such an amazing outreach and impact on the agricultural community,” says Emma Campbell, “it is a blessing to get to work in an environment that encourages you to learn the ins and outs of how we can grow rural financing and support American Agriculture from all aspects!”
Fueling the Future of Agriculture
